Simplicity is the final achievement. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art. – Frederic Chopin
Ran into the above quote from Maslow today sending me a text. Take the time over the next couple of days and just unplug. Do nothing. Or, if you need to, do only the things you love to do. Fun things. Things that don’t require you to get through an entire list to finally get the chance to do. Make the fun things the first things you do with your free time this weekend. Spend time with family. Put up a hammock and then relax in it for hours. Take a nap. Do nothing. Spend time with family. Cook out. Crack a drink you’ve been wanting to try.
These are the simplest things we can do and recharge. Yet, they are usually not even worthy to be on the to do list of the week. They need to be. Greed however, has us thinking we can do everything. Greed wants us to feel really bad about not doing anything. Don’t give into it. Tell greed your going to take some time off.
I want to thank all those that serve and have served. Thank you for fighting to preserve and win the freedoms we enjoy daily. We take them for granted when we shouldn’t. I haven’t done enough. I take them for granted. When you’re tired and cannot do it anymore, I’ll be there. Just let me know, I’ll take the next leg of the journey for you. Thank you for all you do and have done.
Have a great Memorial Day everyone. Summer is here.

I love this post!! I stand for everything you talked about. Especially “Do nothing”… We live in a society where we are always constantly immersed in social media or work, it’s so hard to find time to relax your mind. Great post, keep up the amazing content!
