A Warm Place

There will be a time you will have a dream you think is the right dream. Then it dies and you don’t know what to do or where to go. Trust me it happened for a reason. It wasn’t your dream. The sooner you can come to terms with that the better and stronger you will be for the next dream.

It’s a tough spot to be in, but trust me you are better off in letting it go and moving on. You see in that rejection, in that moment, it’s going to feel like you have no where else to go. But, I’m here to share that it happened for a reason. It’s so you could find a different kind of courage, a different kind of strength, and a different kind of you. A better you. A better you that has purpose in that failure that was unrealized until that very moment you fell.

The fall won’t kill you. It will hurt like heck. But, when you get done crying and washing out your wounds, you will see it. As you look in the mirror at the old broken version of yourself and see the new one, you’ll know. That dream wasn’t yours. Might have been your significant others. Might have been you bosses. Might have been your assessment skills test idea of what it should be. I’m here to tell you it’s not the who you were suppose to be.

As you hold both sides of the sink in your hands feeling that smooth porcelain and think you’re going to slip and fall again, you won’t. You will take a deep breath and a long sigh as you just look at that drain thinking your done. Then you’ll look up and look yourself in the eye. You’ll look deep and see something you’ve not see before. A new you. A spark. It’s then you will know.

I was meant to fall. I was meant to fail. Because there is something far greater in store for me then what I just went through. You won’t understand how you know that, you will just feel it. You tap into it a couple more times just feel the warmth, the spark. It’s time to start over. It’s time to take what you learned and make it the catalyst for something greater and stronger and better. Welcome to your 2.0

It doesn’t have to be the end. You decide. I hate being cliché but everything sometimes does happen for a reason. You won’t understand it until it’s passed you. But, when you take the time to read it for what it is, a learn, you will understand.

Have a great start to your week! Be the best you, you can be.

✌ Shawn
