Day 1 is up! Today’s exercise is writing for a straight 15 minutes whatever is on your mind. Sounds easy enough. But, wait until you reach into something that you haven’t given the space to deal with. Reviewing that stream of consciousness may surprise you. When you write with no guide or preconceived idea of what you want to write, we tend to write from our subconscious. There could be some dark stuff you get to finally address or an incredible memory you’ve buried.
This reflect and reset challenge gives you the reset button you’ve been wanting. A chance to get out whatever you haven’t had time to deal with on digital or analog paper. I recommend after the buzzer goes off at the 15 minute mark, you take time to review what you wrote. You might find a surprise lurking in there you didn’t expect. Bring self-awareness to it. It could be the first step in dealing with it for been trying to get started.
Thanks again for following and listening. These day exercises won’t always be consecutive, but I will try to get as many of them as I can close together. Sometimes it can be nice to build space between this deep work on yourself to think about it, reflect, then start the next challenge. Catch you for Day 2 soon.
